It all started when…

Cultures Clothing was founded in the year 2000 by Alloyius McIlwaine. The line is representative of high fashion, urban wear, and everything in between for Men, Women, and Children. Cultures Clothing Company wants to show that all nationalities, cultures, or social groups have something exciting or beautiful about them. Your environment has just as much to do with who you are as your nationality. Hence, Cultures Clothing wants to highlight aspects of society as well as the different nationalities around the world. For example, along with influences from different nationalities, you'll see influences from everything from fine art & high fashion to hip-hop in the clothing.

About Alloyius Mciwaine: 

Philadelphia-born and based artist, Alloyius McIlwaine, paints in a signature style that colorfully combines street art, pop art, and comic book illustration. Whether painting a mural or on canvas, his work dances freely in colored planes, vibrating with geometric abstraction. He often features symbolic shapes, “kudoglyphs”, which give visual language to positive affirmations. After experimenting with watercolor, acrylic, oil, charcoal, and sculpture, McIlwaine found peace in the abstract, freestyled murals, developed on-site without any expectations of the outcome. This freedom of expression, of allowing the art to flow through him, led to the development of a signature artistic language that floats happily between figuration and abstraction. It is energetic, playful, vigorously free, and happy. McIlwaine has created a vast body of recognizable work recently including national artistic campaigns for Pepsi x Philadelphia Eagles, NBC Universal, Makers Mark, Pressed Juicery, Honeygrow, and more.
